A good morning. I played with the programmable thermostat last night.
Toinght is for getting out my holiday cards. I'll make a bit of mulledwine cider.
A moment of wonder to share:
( urban pantheism )
I was drinking some coffee by the window when I spotted her this morning. She's after the corn I set out a few days ago.
A better shot of my new furnace:
( it's wonderful! )
Now to work...

I succesfully completed the Suze Orman Save Yourself Plan by saving at least $50/month for a year. For my troubles, I received $100 from TD Ameritrade. I made 16.5% on my savings. I feel grand! I think I am going to sock the money away in a ROTH IRA. Another financial goal met. Yay me!

Ralph Waldo Emerson
Delivered before the Senior Class in Divinity College , Cambridge, Sunday Evening, July 15, 1838
But when the mind opens,
and reveals the laws which traverse the universe,
and make things what they are,
then shrinks the great world at once
into a mere illustration
and fable of this mind.
What am I?
What is this?
asks the human spirit with a curiosity new-kindled,
but never to be quenched.
Behold these outrunning laws,
which our imperfect apprehension can see tend this way and that,
but not come full circle.
Behold these infinite relations,
so like, so unlike;
many, yet one.
I would study,
I would know,
I would admire forever.
