I'm enjoying No Impact Man's recently published book. It's an engaging read which tells a story. I like it a bit better than Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barb Kingsolver as I have an urban existence. I was disappointed by The Power of Less from Zen Habits as it was a rehash of the blog.
For those of you snorting out there who remember one of my goals for 2009 was to NOT read junk that did not apply to my life thereby wasting my time and energy, I would argue that I don't avidly seek out the information like I used to do. I tend to peek once or twice to AFFIRM my lifestyle choices and pick up new (or old) ideas. So there.

The Last English King (CE 1066) by Julian Rathbone
Genghis Khan: Bones of the Hill (CE 1200) by Conn Iggulden
The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon (
e_moon60 or Pak's World)
The Next Enlightenment by Walter T. Anderson
The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden
Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston (Space Clearing)
Throw Out Fifty Things by Gail Blanke
I'm reading this as I prepare for the neighborhood garage sale in two weeks. I want to continue to declutter my life. I plan to have signs that read: $1 & $5 and pile all my stuff under these signs. You can see some stuff from Gail at her website. Bandwidth warning: There's a video that autoplays.

My current reading list:
Mother Teresa: Come into My Light (The private writings of the Saint of Calcutta) Apparently not-so-private anymore, but ZOMG!! She was a mystic. She was a woman. She was a Saint however you might define it. Incredible.
Wings of Wrath by C.S. Friedman. I loved the Coldfire series and this seems to be in the same vein.
WTF?
There is an elderly woman walking down the street in pajamas, slippers and wrapped in a blanket. Back in a few minutes.
