I mowed the front lawn and spread my home-made fertilizer on the lawn where needed. Cleaned up the landscaping. Spread mulch.
I also got my summer short hairstyle from M. Then went to dinner with M&M. I ate my 4 oz filet and 1/2 baked potato with salad. Steak potato hash & eggs tomorrow. It's Herb Fest at the local greenhouse, and I may go get a pedicure while out and about. It's sandal wearing weather!
What is a better May Day than dirt in your hands? I transferred some of my seedlings into pots, ready to grow healthy and strong before relocating outside.
*sigh* I'll have to call the city code lady to talk to my neighbor. They piled the brush from their trees along the side of the house and it's 1) blocking my access along my walk to the back gate, 2) preventing me from mowing the side yard, and 3) critters are nesting in the tangle. They haven't put it out for curbside collection for 2 weeks. Last year, I wrote them a polite note. This year, I feel I shouldn't have to send them a note to do the right thing w.r.t. being a good neighbor.
The new downspouts are working well. My rain water barrels should arrive next week. I am going to collect at the back which is 1/2 the roof in two 55 gal barrels and gravimetrically fed to the super soaker hoses in the beds. They are mesquito proof as we have a west nile virus concern here.
What else? My meds are healing my psoriasis but not really helping my hands. Sunday is my 6th dose. I went for bloodwork yesterday. My bottom number on blood pressure is 20 points higher than normal (normally 110/75, now 115/95). Weird, that. I have felt the blood pulsing through my ears and head at night and sometimes when I am meditating. It's a weird sensation that I attributed to the slight dizzy I feel sometimes after taking tramadol.
I have a bit of a wetlands in my backyard with all the rain, and two canada geese stopped by for a break. They were fascinating. I tried to get a picture but they honked and flew away. Shy.
